Meet Steve Keyser
A neighbor, a public servant, and a man ready to work for Idaho House District 15.

A Life of Service
Steve Keyser and his wife, Margie, have been married for more than 50 years. They raised four children to adulthood, and today they’re proud grandparents to ten grandchildren. They continue to raise their ten-year-old son at home.

Steve is a retired police officer, and Margie is a retired school psychologist. Over a long law enforcement career, Steve worked patrol, detective work, supervision, narcotics, crime prevention, and budgeting — experience that taught him how to weigh evidence, spot unintended consequences, and make sound decisions under pressure. That’s exactly the kind of steady judgment Idaho needs in the State House.
Rooted in Community
Steve and Margie have called Boise home for ten years, and they came here because they love what makes Idaho, Idaho. Since arriving, Steve has rolled up his sleeves volunteering with church benevolence projects, the local food pantry, a community medical clinic, and programs that support grandparents raising their grandchildren.
He’s also testified before the Legislature in support of Idaho priorities, and was sworn in as a substitute Idaho State Senator earlier this year, so he already knows how the process works and is ready to hit the ground running on day one.
Steve’s son, Josh Keyser, represents neighboring Legislative District 20 in the Idaho State Senate — proof that public service, and earning voters’ trust the honest way, runs in the family.

Why Steve Is Running
Steve believes Idahoans deserve a representative who listens first, does the homework, and makes decisions based on what’s actually best for the district — not political rhetoric. He’s not beholden to anyone but the people of District 15, and he’ll bring the same integrity to the Capitol that guided his entire career in law enforcement.

Every day, Steve and Margie are grateful to call Idaho home. He’s running to keep it a place families are proud to raise their kids and grandkids.
